ECOTERRA Journal of Environmental Research and Protection (printed ISSN 1584-7071) is a quarterly journal, edited since 2004 by S.C. I.C.P.E. BISTRIŢA S.A. (Institute for Reserch and Development in Technologies and Equipments for Enviromental Protection), 7 Parcului street, 420035, Bistriţa, Bistriţa-Năsăud county, along with the Faculty of Enviromental Sciences and Engineering, University „Babeş-Bolyai” from Cluj-Napoca, 30 Fântânele street, Cluj-Napoca, Cluj county.
The owners of this journal are S.C. ICPE Bistriţa S.A. and University Babeş-Bolyai from Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Engineering.

In the journal are accepted for publication:
- original papers in the fields of: engineering sciences, life and earth sciences, biotechnologies, enviromental science;
- notes reffering to reviews, national and international scientific events (symposiums, expeditions, workshops etc.), commemorations of science personalities;
- synthesis articles in the fields specific to the journal.
The papers will be analized, before publishing, by two independent scientifical reviewers. In case of the inadequate papers, these will be returned to the authors for an, eventual, remake.
The responsability of the papers’ content gains exclusively to the authors.
