This paper presents data on the variation of qualitative characteristics (spectral composition, position of the maximum and short-wavelength boundary) of the solar spectrum in the ultraviolet and visible regions. The latitudinal and seasonal distribution of solar radiation maximum has been established. It is hypothesized that the corolla color of flowering plants is the result of adaptation to the solar spectrum maximum.

Simultaneously with the development of a multitude of technological applications in various activity fields of human society undoubtebly having the goal of increasing humanity quality of life, inadvertent spillover effects have especially emerged regarding environmental pollution on different levels. Animated discussions have started first on scientific level with the goal of finding best strategies for solving created complex situation to succeed maintaining good environmental quality. After finally understanding that technological advance could be connected also to undesired effects, carried out debates on a global level brought the concept of “sustainable development” as a potential solution. It was clear pointed out that progress in technical, economic, as well as environmental and social fields must be emphasized by considering several processes in these fields. In this regard technology assessment (TA) can play an important role by emphasising various potential impacts of technological applications especially on environmental field. Registered advance in nanotechnology, first as scientific efforts in physics combined with technological field, has pointed out applying possibilities also in environmental field. Going into details, applying carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for environmental monitoring by approapriate sensors is representing an innovative scientific approach bringing for sure advance in environmental area.

Through our research it is presented what features irrigation cultivation in Hungary has been characterised by. The data related to Békés County is also covered. It is highlighted that – following world trends – developing the irrigation sectors is an enormous break point of the agriculture of our country. Based upon the community grants of 2014-2020 the Rural Development Programme launched two calls for proposals concerning irrigation development. In our research the data and figures of the project proposals – submitted from Békés county – of the Hungarian State Treasury as a paying agency are observed and examined. The number of submitted proposals within the county, the requested grant amounts, the fields to be developed, the current status of the evaluation process and the typical errors are presented. As a result of our survey it can be claimed that a large number of proposals have been submitted in the county with high grant amounts related to a wide range of topics. Simultaneously, due to the quality of content the number of rejected proposals is quite high as well. Applicants themselves also withdrew for some reasons. Nevertheless, projects to be implemented by all means have great influence on the agrarian economy of Békés county therefore available resources can reach the set policy objectives.

THE ALIEN FISH SPECIES AMEIURUS NEBULOSUS IN THE ROMANIAN SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE

The brown bullhead Ameiurus nebulosus (Lesueur, 1819) (Pisces: Siluriformes: Ictaluridae) is a fish species native to North America, from where it has been introduced in more than 30 countries from Asia, Europe, North Amercia, South America and Oceania. Several countries reported adverse ecological impacts after the introduction of this species. In Europe, A. nebulosus was presented for the first time in 1880, at a fishing exhibition in Berlin. In Romania it can be found since 1908 in the Saint Ana Lake, where it was introduced intentionally. He later penetrated naturally in 1934 in the Tisa River and some of its tributaries. In this paper we took in consideration most of the scientific publications available in Romania, dealing much or less with A. nebulosus. Along time, in our country there were several researches regarding some aspects of biology of this species: dynamics of growth, diet, its parasites, reproduction, anatomy, physiology, toxicology and behaviour. There are also some studies regardind the popular names for A. nebulosus in the western part of the country and some general papers concerning the Romanian ichthyofauna, in which the occurrence of A. nebulosus is mentioned as well. Further studies on the physiologycal and behavioural aspects of this species need to be done. In addition, we do not know which is the real impact of A. nebulosus upon our native fish species and we have no comprehensive knowledge on its actual distribution in Romanian waters.
