Abstract: The modular approach to the treament of wastewater provides the user with a compact, easy to operate and cost effective priced unit. The package tratment systems have an exceptional track record as an efficient method of wastewater treatment. These plants can require a fraction of the space needed by other types of system and utilizes a multi-step treatment process to achieve the desired final discharge requirements.
Key words: wastewater, treatment plant, environment

Abstract: Through the passive treatment, biological and chemical reactions take place naturally, thus improving mine waters treatment. This process has more advantages against the conventional treatment systems: there is no more need for chemical substances and energy consumption, and the functioning and maintenance requirements of passive systems are fewer than in the case of conventional water treatment systems.
Key words: passive water treatment, acid waters, mine waters
